Nurseries News Round-Up – Week 60

Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!

CRACKING CUPCAKES!

The Appletree, Attleborough

The Russet Room children have enjoyed exploring chocolate-flavoured play-dough.

As the children played, they pretended to make cakes, so Emma then gave them some cupcake cases.

We extended their learning opportunities and went into the kitchen where we discovered there weren’t any eggs left, so together we had a look on the tablet for an egg-free recipe.

We decided to make some vegan cupcakes using oil instead.

The children enjoyed helping to weigh out the ingredients before stirring and then spooning the mixture into cupcake cases.

The children were very interested to watch their creations bake before Emma took them out to cool. The children later took their cupcakes home to share with their families.

PRE-SCHOOL SCIENTISTS!

The Beacon, Rendlesham

Pre-School had a busy and fun-filled week at nursery.

They worked together to match the people to the correct emotion cards, created beautiful galaxies by flicking paint onto their card and experienced the awe and wonder of science with their soda and raisin experiment.

They watched the raisins sink to the bottom before the bubbles stuck to them and they started dancing.

RHYME TIME!

Babies delved into a land filled with nursery rhymes with these large and wonderful handmade books.

They enjoyed using their pincer grips to turn the pages and learning some new rhymes!

FAREWELL, LITTLE LEGENDS!

The Cornerstone, Martlesham

A big ‘Thank You’ to all who came to our School Leavers Graduation Day.

It was an amazing experience and we hope you all had fun, too!

GRADUATES AND GRUBS!

Head Start, Ramsey

Wow – we’ve had an amazing week celebrating our graduates of 2023!

We had Ed from Mini Monsters join us for our graduation party. Ed brought in his giant land snail, a tarantula, a millipede, a snake and a lizard.

The children all enjoyed the sensory experience of getting up close to the mini monsters.

Boys and girls, as your nursery journey comes to an end, we want to congratulate you on all your hard work.

These past few months have been filled with so many new and exciting experiences, and we know that you have learned so much along the way.

We are so proud of the progress you have made and can’t wait to see all the great things you will do in the future.

We wish you all the best on your next adventure and know that you will always be a part of our Head Start family.

Thank you!

Also a huge shout out to our wonderful dedicated staff – because without them we wouldn’t be able to do all of these lovely things that we do.

They really have worked very hard to try and pull all this together and make it a lovely day for our children.
